Close corporation “Mobikom-Kavkaz” is a daughter company of public corporation “MegaFon”, a GSM 900/1800 cellular communication operator in North Caucasian region. The company is licensed by the Ministry for Communications of Russia, license no. 15412. The licensed territory covers Adygei republic, Karachai-Cherkes republic, republic of Dagestan, Kabardinian-Balkar republic, Northern Ossetin republic, Ingush republic, Chechen republic, Krasnodar region, Stavropol region and Rostov oblast. The company is 100% owned by “MegaFon”. The “MegaFon” network in the Northern Caucasus was put into commercial operation on August 17th, 2001 and is currently one of the most dynamically growing cellular operators. Currently the network covers Krasnodar region, Rostov oblast, Adygei republic, Karachai-Cherkes republic, Kabardinian-Balkar republic, republic of Dagestan, Chechen republic. In each of the regions the network covers all major settlements, main motorways and railroads, resort areas. A unified system of rate plans is used. Moving within the “MegaFon” network in Northern Caucasus does not require roaming. The subscriber base of the company is currently over 1 million people.
ZAO “Mobikom-Kavkaz” offers its clients a wide range of communication services: automatic national and international roaming, SMS and SMS-based services, USSD voice mail, call redirection, automatic number identification, conference call, call waiting, call barring, sending and receiving fax and data messages, WAP, mobile internet and also IN platform-based pre-paid services GSMLITE.
JUST, as a mobile browsing platform was developed with an active cooperation of “Mobikom-Kavkaz” as one of the project’s partner and a test Site. The platform has been operating on the network of “Mobikom-Kavkaz” since June, 2003 in test mode. It is not planned in the future to limit the number of the platform users. On the contrary, we have a task to increase the quantity of SIM-cards that support JavaCard standard and JUST-browser.
The JUST-based services on the network of “Mobikom-Kavkaz” are provided by several content-providers that ensure necessary variety of informational services and constant data updating. The features of the platform allow the content providers to work more effectively in the spheres of developing, providing and supporting informational services.
The JUST menu structure is a tree of subscriber services with the following components:- resident root menu items—14
- 2nd level resident menu items—3-4 for each root item
- resident menu size with this structure—13 kilobytes
- loaded menus levels—more than 8
The convenience of services implementation for subscribers makes the services easy to access and encourages the subscribers to use the wide range of services that are created and promoted on “Mobikom-Kavkaz” network by us and our partners. JUST is a modern tool of subscriber base expansion and value added services provision. Bercut Ltd. and “ORGA Zelenograd” always pay much attention to our requests and try to expand protocols’ and platform’s functionality.
JUST ensures revenue from value added services increase as well as improving operator’s image and subscribers’ loyalty.
“Mobikom-Kavkaz” considers JUST to be an optimal platform for value added services provision, which means that it is highly reliable, technically advanced and easy to use for subscribers.
