MTS subscribers enjoy favourite melodies
29 March 2007 |
Today, more than 20% of subscribers of Mobile TeleSystems Joint Ltd. delight their friends with favourite melodies. Now, instead of a standard ring back tone, calling subscribers may enjoy personal greetings – music or voice messages.
This became possible thanks to the TONING service (MTS Joint Ltd.) implemented on the basis of RBT.
― According to the existing data the service penetration rate is over 20%, i.e. almost 700 thousand subscribers out of 3.37 million use the service. These figures break all records on the CIS market. The scenario seems to be optimistical, – Artur Oleinik says, Deputy Director General for Marketing. – The service is rated and enjoys high popularity, so we expect the investments to return very soon. Along with the financial benefit, we obtain an intangible effect – enhancement of subscriber loyalty.
Turnkey delivery of Ring Back Tone (on the basis of X-tones) to MTS Joint Ltd. was fulfilled by Bercut-Ericsson team. It should be stressed that the service was implemented within the shortest time – the system kernel was installed in Minsk and IVR components were deployed in 5 large Belarusian cities during two months. Besides, Kvazar-Micro – one of the leading suppliers of IT solutions, products and services in Eastern Europe and the CIS participated in the project as a system integrator.
The vendor was chosen based on the tender results conducted in February 2006. The main advantages that helped Bercut-Ericsson team win the competition were shortest installation and certification time, flexibility and efficiency demonstrated by the partners. Another important fact was that Bercut was the first vendor to launch the Ring Back Tone service (on the basis of X-tones) into commercial operation in Russia and the CIS. Moreover, by that time Bercut had 15 product installations.
― We are proud to have managed to win the tender in a tough competitive struggle and to have introduced the key product into a strategic market together with a strategic partner, ― Vladimir Filipyev comments, Bercut Deputy CMO. ― We have been fruitfully cooperating with MTS central office (Moscow) for a long time and are glad to have successfully finished the project in the CIS.
