DoubleU launches X-tones on the Middle East

DoubleU, a content provider, has launched the RBT service on the basis of Bercut X-tones on the Korek operator’s network. Over 96 thousand users have entered a subscription to the service for the first month.
The partnership of DoubleU, a content provider, and Bercut, a supplier of IT products for the VAS infrastructure of mobile and PSTN operators, can be traced back to the 3GSM World Congress 2007. The companies have the common purpose – to offer business critical products for VAS infrastructure to telecom holding companies.
As a result, DoubleU has launched the X-tones product on the Korek’s network, whose subscriber base amounts to 1.5 million subscribers. For the first month over 96 thousand users have subscribed to the RBT service. The joint success of DoubleU and Bercut depends a lot on an original business model, which the content provider follows to promote the service.
– We were selecting a partner from a range of companies, and we chose Bercut for several reasons: the products meeting market demands, a lot of installations, favorable references of the operators, which are affiliated to telecommunication holdings, high level of the service offered by Bercut Ltd., – Ayman Jomaa, Managing Partner of DoubleU remarks. – The successful launch opens up new opportunities for future cooperation.

When penetration of the service reaches 4%, the “word of mouth” mechanism starts working: subscribers bring their friends and acquaintances to the operator. Retaining the subscribers is an urgent question, but X-tones enables solving it without serious efforts. The powerful statistics system allows analyzing subscribers’ preferences in detail. The service’s flexibility and an opportunity of fine adjustment allow responding proactively to subscriber needs, which increases subscriber loyalty and profitability of the service.
