New telco growth opportunities
01 April 2010 |
On April 15 Bercut Executive Summit will be held in St. Petersburg. Top managers of leading mobile operators will meet to discuss promising trends of business development that allow ensuring a guaranteed income in the near future.
First of all, the issues under discussion will include VAS portfolio management, methods for determining business-critical services, ways to boost penetration into different subscriber groups and increase services profitability.
"As competition (from existing and alternative communications providers) becomes more intense and markets saturate, sustaining profitable growth becomes ever more challenging. Therefore telcos need to evolve their core business model, leveraging their assets and capabilities in new ways to generate new revenue. One of the most promising growth opportunities lie in developing ‘two-sided’ telecoms business models: providing platforms that help 3rd party organisations interact with telco customers’ says Simon Torrance, CEO of the Telco 2.0 Initiative. ‘During the event, we will explain how ‘two-sided’ business models can work and bring this to life with specific case studies and use cases”.
The conferees of Bercut Executive Summit will take part in panel discussions of interactive format which helps to create unique and comprehensive approach to industry trends.
